Eligibility & Age Limit
Educational Qualification & Experience
Candidates must have a Degree or Diploma in the relevant engineering field (Mining, Mechanical, Electrical) from a recognized institute. Experience requirements vary from 1 to 12 years in coal mines, depending on the post and qualification. A DGMS certificate is mandatory for certain roles. Refer to the official notification for precise details.
Age Limit (as of 01.09.2025)
- Unreserved: 32 years
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 for OBC (NCL), 10 for PWBD, and up to 45 years for Exempted Category (EC) and departmental candidates.
Selection & Tenure
Selection Process
Selection is based entirely on a Personal Interview held in Kolkata. The final merit list will be prepared from interview scores.
Tenure of Engagement
Contractual for 03 years, with annual performance reviews. The contract can be terminated with one month’s notice.
Remuneration & Application
The monthly consolidated remuneration along with additional allowances are detailed below.

An annual increment of 3% on consolidated remuneration is applicable based on satisfactory performance.
The contract is liable to be terminated by either party with one month’s notice.
