Border Security Force, Ministry of Home Affairs invites online applications from meritorious sports persons for 549 vacancies of Constable (General Duty) under Sports Quota. Posts have All India liability. Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and abroad.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (As on 15.01.2026)
- General/OBC: 18-23 years (Born between 16.01.2003 to 15.01.2008)
- SC/ST: 18-25 years (Born between 16.01.2001 to 15.01.2008)
- Upper age relaxation as per Government rules
Educational Qualification
10th Class Pass or equivalent from recognized Board.
Nationality
Indian Citizen only.
Physical Standards (Male)
- Height: 170 cm (relaxable for certain categories)
- Chest (Un-expanded): 80 cm
- Chest (Expanded): Minimum 5 cm expansion
- Weight: Proportionate to age and height

Sports Achievement Criteria
Candidates must have participated or won medals in competitions during the period 15.01.2024 to 15.01.2026. Minimum qualifying marks: 12 marks (all categories).

Selection Priority
- First Preference: Candidates who represented India and won medals/participated in international tournaments recognized by IOC/IOA/MOYAS
- Second Preference: Candidates who won medals/positions up to 3rd place in National Games/Senior National Championship/National Open Championship
Important Sports Certificate Requirements
- International Competition certificates signed by Secretary of National Federation (Annexure-VII)
- National Competition certificates signed by Secretary of National Federation/State Association (Annexure-VIII)
- Team event participants must submit self-attested declaration (Annexure-IX)
- Only highest medal/participation level considered for marking
Certificates must be uploaded on BSF Recruitment Website before applying. Marks awarded for achievements during 15.01.2024 to 15.01.2026 only.
Mode of Selection
Candidates securing minimum qualifying 12 marks will be issued online admit cards. Selection process includes:
1. Documentation
- Biometric verification
- Original documents verification
- Age, education, caste, sports achievement certificates
- Documents must match uploaded certificates
2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Height and chest measurement (Male)
- Height measurement (Female)
- Weight verification (proportionate)
- Candidates not meeting standards eliminated
3. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- As per MHA medical guidelines
- Conducted for merit-listed candidates
- Appeal for RME within 24 hours (₹25 fee)
- Medical Board decision final
Merit List Criteria
Merit list drawn based on marks obtained as per sports achievement table. Tie resolved by:
- Candidate with highest marks placed higher
- International achievement considered over National
- National Games achievement preferred over Senior National Championship
- Younger candidate given priority
- Alphabetical order in English (if tie persists)
No TA/DA for appearing in recruitment. Candidates should be prepared for more than 1-day stay. Selected candidates must undergo Basic Training as prescribed by BSF.

- Sports achievement certificates (original) as per Annexure VII/VIII
- SC/ST Certificate (Annexure-III) or OBC (NCL) Certificate (Annexure-IV)
- OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate within 1 year before closing date
- Height/Chest relaxation certificate (Annexure-V) if applicable
- Domicile Certificate/PAN Card/Aadhar Card/Driving License/Voter ID/Passport
- No Objection Certificate (Annexure-II) for Govt. employees
- Four passport size photographs (same as uploaded)
- Self-attested declaration for team events (Annexure-IX)
- All self-attested copies of certificates
Candidates unable to produce prescribed certificates will be rejected summarily. BSF can verify genuineness of any document at its discretion.

Important Instructions
- Only one application per candidate allowed; multiple applications invalid
