Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025
Official details for the STET 2025 conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) for Secondary and Higher Secondary teachers.

- ⏳ Exam Duration: 150 Minutes (2.5 Hours)

Examination Pattern & Syllabus
Both Paper-I (Secondary) and Paper-II (Higher Secondary) will have a total of 150 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Specified Subject: 100 Marks
- Teaching Skills & Other Competencies: 50 Marks
Each question will be worth 1 mark.
There will be NO negative marking for wrong answers.
Since the CBT is conducted in multiple shifts, a normalization method will be applied to ensure fairness. The final result will be based on the normalized score.
Eligibility & Age Limit

Age (as of 01.08.2025):
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Max Age (Unreserved Male): 37 years
- Max Age (Unreserved Female / BC / EBC): 40 years
- Max Age (SC / ST): 42 years
- Education (Paper I): Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks + B.Ed.
- Education (Paper II): Master’s Degree (Post Graduation) in a relevant subject with at least 50% marks + B.Ed.
- Note: A B.Ed. degree is not mandatory for Computer Science candidates applying for Paper-II.

- Both Papers: ₹1140
Qualifying Marks & Certification
- General: 50%
- Backward Class (BC): 45.5%
- Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 42.5%
- SC / ST / PwBD / Women: 40%
Successful candidates will be issued a STET pass certificate, which will have lifetime validity.
How to Apply
The application process is entirely online and involves three main steps: Registration, Form Filling, and Payment.
- Visit the official website secondary.biharboardonline.com.
- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number to receive your User ID and Password.
- Log in and fill out the application form with all required personal and educational details.
- Upload a recent color photograph (3.5cm x 4.5cm, 80-200kb) and signature (50-200kb).
- Upload self-attested copies of required documents (Matric, Inter, Graduation, PG, B.Ed certificates, Caste, Domicile, etc.).
- Pay the examination fee via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
- Preview the application carefully before final submission and save a printed copy for your records.
