IndianOil Corporation Limited (Fortune Global 500 Company) invites applications for engagement of Trade, Technician & Graduate Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961 at locations in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, HP, J&K, UP, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand.

Graduate Apprentice

Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator

  • Fresher (Class 12th, below graduate)
  • Skill Certificate Holders (Class 12th + Skill Certificate)

Reservation: UR, EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD as per state-wise prescribed percentage. PwBD horizontal reservation for Graduate Apprentice & DEO only. Vacancies provisional.

Stipend & Benefits

Stipend Payment Details

  • Rate of stipend as prescribed under Apprentices Act 1961/1973/1992/2019 as amended
  • Additional ₹2,500/- per month paid by IOCL as Miscellaneous expenses
  • Graduate Apprentice: ₹4,500/- paid by BOAT via DBT + Remaining by IOCL
  • Technician Apprentice: ₹4,000/- paid by BOAT via DBT + Remaining by IOCL
  • Trade Apprentice: Full stipend paid by IOCL (No DBT component)
  • Government’s DBT share restricted to first-time training only
  • Medical expenses reimbursement: Maximum ₹3,000/- during pre-engagement medical

Aadhaar-seeded bank account enabled for DBT mandatory for receiving stipend. Subject to change as per Govt/BOAT/NAPS guidelines.

Educational Qualification

Technician Apprentice (Diploma) – Disc Code 101-106

  • 3 years regular full-time Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 50% marks aggregate (General/EWS/OBC-NCL)
  • Minimum 45% marks aggregate (SC/ST/PwBD for reserved positions)
  • From Institute/University recognized by AICTE/UGC
  • Lateral entry (Class XII/ITI) admitted in 2nd year also eligible (aggregate of all semesters)

Trade Apprentice (ITI) – Disc Code 107-111

  • Matric with regular full-time 2 (Two) year ITI in relevant trade
  • ITI course recognized by NCVT/SCVT
  • Pass marks required in ITI qualification
  • Trades: Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist

Graduate Apprentice – Disc Code 112

  • Regular full-time Graduate in any discipline (BBA/BA/B.Com/B.Sc.)
  • Minimum 50% marks aggregate (General/EWS/OBC-NCL)
  • Minimum 45% marks aggregate (SC/ST/PwBD for reserved positions)
  • From Institute/University recognized by AICTE/UGC

Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator – Disc Code 113-114

  • Fresher (113): Class 12th (but below graduate)
  • Skill Certificate Holders (114): Class 12th + Skill Certificate of ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ for training less than 1 year from NSQF recognized awarding body

Important Eligibility Conditions

  • Qualification must be from recognized University/Institute as full-time regular course
  • Part-time/Correspondence/Distance Learning NOT ELIGIBLE
  • CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade: Must indicate equivalent percentage with certificate from University
  • Candidates who completed 5 years after qualification (as on 31.12.2025) NOT ELIGIBLE
  • Second apprenticeship allowed only in different trade with 1 year gap (except employer failure)
  • Higher qualifications (B.E, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent) or pursuing NOT ELIGIBLE
  • Diploma/Vocational holders with 1+ year job experience NOT ELIGIBLE
  • NATS Registration ID required for Diploma & Graduate | NAPS ID for ITI & DEO

Period of Apprenticeship Training

12 Months for all disciplines. No obligation for regular employment after completion. Ex-apprentices can apply for regular recruitment as per laid down criteria.

PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) Provisions

PwBD reservation for Graduate Apprentice & Data Entry Operator only (Horizontal basis). Not eligible for Technician Apprentice (101-106) & Trade Apprentice ITI (107-111).

Eligible PwBD Categories (40% disability minimum)

  • PV: Low Vision, Blind (Vision disability)
  • PH: Hard of Hearing, Deaf (Hearing disability)
  • PL: Musculoskeletal (OH-OA/OL), Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victim, Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured (Locomotor disability)
  • MD: Multiple Disabilities (combination of above)

Other disabilities not included considering hazardous industry safety.

PwBD Certificate Requirements

  • Disability Certificate as per Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017
  • Not less than 40% of specified disability
  • Issued by competent certifying authority
  • Candidate not covered under Section 34(1) of Act 2016 can claim relaxation but not reservation
  • Must be capable of performing tasks using suitable aids and appliances

Selection Process (Merit-Based, No Written Test/Interview)

Selection based on merit of marks secured in prescribed qualification. No written test or interview.

1. Merit List Preparation

  • Based on percentage of marks in prescribed qualification
  • Candidates registered on NAPS/NATS portal considered
  • Preference to first-time apprenticeship applicants

2. Tie-Breaking Rules

  • Earlier date of birth (older age)
  • If same DOB: Higher % in Matriculation

3. Document Verification & Medical

  • Shortlisted candidates called for DV
  • Pre-engagement medical fitness test
  • Medical expense reimbursement: ₹3,000/-

  • Candidates must be medically fit as per IOCL pre-engagement medical standards

How to Apply (Two-Step Mandatory Process)

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Both steps mandatory – (1) Apply on NAPS/NATS Portal + (2) Submit Microsoft Form. Incomplete process = Rejection

STEP 1: Apply on NAPS/NATS Portal

  • Failure to submit = No offer letter

Application Process Details

  1. Register on appropriate portal (NAPS for ITI/DEO, NATS for Diploma/Graduate)
  2. Ensure 100% profile completion (Personal Details, Educational Details, Category, Aggregate %)
  3. For corrections, contact NAPS/NATS office before applying
  4. Login to portal using User ID/Email ID
  5. Apply for apprenticeship opening with IOCL Northern Region Establishment ID
  6. Select ONLY ONE discipline code (Multiple applications = Rejection)
  7. Submit Microsoft Form with preferred State & 3 locations (by 12.01.2026, 05:00 PM)
  8. Check email/SMS for document verification intimation

Pre-Requisites Before Applying

  • Valid NAPS/NATS Registration: Active Apprentice Registration/Enrolment Number
  • Active Email ID & Mobile: Valid for at least 1 year (all communications via email/SMS)
  • PAN Card: Mandatory
  • Aadhaar Card: Mandatory
  • Bank Account: Active with name printed cheque book
  • Aadhaar-seeded Bank Account: Must be enabled for DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer)
  • Check Aadhaar Seeding: myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in
  • Check DBT Status: www.npci.org.in (Consumer tab)
  • Update bank details on NATS: For DBT release by BOAT

  • Matriculation (Class X) Certificate – DOB proof (No other document accepted)
  • Semester-wise/Year-wise Mark Sheets (ITI/HSC/Diploma/Graduation)
  • Final ITI/HSC/Diploma/Graduation Certificate from Board/Authority/Institute
  • Certificate stating regular mode and year of passing from Institute
  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) in prescribed Govt format from Competent Authority
  • OBC-NCL: Certificate not more than 12 months old from 31.12.2025, with Non-Creamy Layer clause
  • PwBD Certificate as per Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules 2017 (40% disability)
  • Copy of first page of Bank passbook (Aadhaar-seeded account)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • Cancelled cheque leaf
  • Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Certificate

Original documents + self-attested copies required. OBC name must fall in Central List of respective state.

Candidature & Selection

  • Candidature provisional subject to verification of certificates

  • Engagement subject to medical fitness as per Corporation requirements
  • SC/ST/OBC-NCL applying for UR seats considered as per General category standards
  • Management decision final on eligibility, selection mode, cancellation – No correspondence
  • Filling seats at discretion – No claim if unfilled due to unsuitability

  • Incomplete applications or not in prescribed format/mode
  • Not fulfilling eligibility criteria
  • Received after last date (12.01.2026, 05:00 PM)
  • Multiple applications for same/different discipline codes
  • Microsoft Form not submitted by deadline
  • Canvassing of any kind disqualifies candidate
