Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit

Essential Qualification (Trainee)
Diploma (3 years) in Electrical Engineering (AICTE approved) OR Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Departmental candidates: 3 years experience.
Essential Qualification (Grade-C)
Supervisory Certificate for Electrical Supervisor in Mines (with Mining Part) under Indian Electricity Rules. Permanent departmental employee.
Only SECL departmental candidates eligible. On selection: Placed as Asst. Foreman (Elec.) T&S-C E&M. Verify details in notification.
Mode of Selection
Written Test
OMR-based, 100 MCQs (100 marks, 1 mark each). No negative marking. Duration: 2 hours. Qualifying: 35% General, 30% SC/ST.
- Mental/Quantitative Ability: 20 marks
- General Awareness & Knowledge (CIL/SECL): 20 marks
- Professional Knowledge: 60 marks
Merit panel based on written marks (descending order). Tie-breaker: Date of appointment, age (younger first), alphabetical order.
Post-exam eligibility check. Marks subject to increase/decrease. SAP candidates verified with order copies.

Mental & Quantitative Ability (20 Marks)
- Analogies, Series, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Directions, Puzzles, Number System, Percentages, Ratio, Time/Work, Mensuration.
General Awareness & Knowledge (20 Marks)
- Current Affairs, History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science, CIL/SECL specifics (Coal India rules, mining acts).
Professional Knowledge (60 Marks)
- Electrical Engineering: Circuits, Machines, Power Systems, Measurements, Control Systems, Safety in Mines, Indian Electricity Rules, Mining Electrical Supervisor duties.
