The Border Security Force (BSF), Ministry of Home Affairs invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens (Male & Female) for 391 vacancies of Constable (GD) in Group ‘C’ under Sports Quota. Posts have All India liability. Applications accepted online only from 16.10.2025 to 04.11.2025.

Pay & Benefits
Pay Scale
Level 3: ₹21,700 – ₹69,100 (7th CPC)
Other Benefits
DA, HRA, Medical facilities, Ration, Uniform, Pension under NPS, and other allowances as per Central Government rules. Governed by BSF Act 1968 & Rules 1969.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)
18-23 years. Relaxations: SC/ST: +5 years, OBC: +3 years, as per rules.
Educational Qualification
Matriculation (10th) or equivalent from recognized board.
Sports Qualification
Medal winners/participants in specified events at National/International level in last 2 years (from 04.11.2025). Details in notification.
Physical Standards (Male)
- Height: 170 cm
- Chest: 80 cm (unexpanded) + 5 cm expansion
- Weight: Proportionate to height & age
Physical Standards (Female)
- Height: 157 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height & age
Medical Standards: As per MHA guidelines. Eye Sight: 6/6 & 6/9 without correction. Indian citizens only.
Mode of Selection
Process
- Scrutiny of online applications & sports certificates (Minimum 12 marks required for all categories).
- Physical Verification of Documents.
- Physical Standard Test (PST).
- Detailed Medical Examination.
Selection based on sports achievements. No written exam. Final merit after medical clearance.

- SC/ST/Female/Ex-Servicemen: Exempted
