Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Stage 1: Written Examination
A single paper on General Knowledge will be conducted.
- Total Questions: 150 (Objective MCQs)
- Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes
- Marking Scheme: +4 marks for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: -1 mark for each incorrect answer.
- Subjects:
- General Studies (Current Affairs, India & Neighbors, History, Culture, Geography, Indian Constitution, etc.)
- General Science & Mathematics (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Number System, Percentage, Average, etc.)
- Mental Ability Test (Comprehension, Logic, Reasoning, etc.)
Stage 2: Skill Test
Candidates qualifying the written test (5 times the number of vacancies) will be called for the Skill Test.
- Stenography Test: 80 words per minute (wpm) speed. Dictation of 320 words in 4 minutes.
- Typing Test (on Computer):
- Hindi Typing: 30 wpm (300 words in 10 mins) on Mangal font (Remington Gail Layout).
- English Typing: 30 wpm (300 words in 10 mins).
Eligibility Criteria

| Technical Qualification | Hindi/English Stenography and Typing. Knowledge of basic computer/word processing is also required for many posts. |
