Comprehensive details for the recruitment of Teaching and Non-Teaching staff by NESTS with over 7,200 vacancies.

Important Dates

  • 🗓️ Last Date for Online Application: October 23, 2025 (up to 11:50 PM)
  • ✍️ OMR-Based Exam Date: To be notified on the NESTS website
  • Eligibility Cut-off Date: October 23, 2025

Total Vacancies: 7,267

  • Principal: 225 vacancies
  • Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs): 1,460 vacancies
  • Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs): 3,962 vacancies
  • Hostel Warden: 635 vacancies
  • Female Staff Nurse: 550 vacancies
  • Accountant: 61 vacancies
  • Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): 228 vacancies
  • Lab Attendant: 146 vacancies

*Note: Selected candidates will receive a 10% special pay allowance and can be posted anywhere in India.

Application Fee

Fee is non-refundable. Female, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates only pay the processing fee.

  • Principal: ₹2,000 (App) + ₹500 (Proc) = ₹2,500
  • PGT & TGT: ₹1,500 (App) + ₹500 (Proc) = ₹2,000
  • Non-Teaching Staff: ₹1,000 (App) + ₹500 (Proc) = ₹1,500
  • Female/SC/ST/PwBD: ₹0 (App) + ₹500 (Proc) = ₹500

Examination Pattern & Selection

General Scheme
  • Exam Mode: OMR-Based (Pen & Paper) Test.
  • Marking Scheme: +1 mark for a correct answer, with a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
  • Selection Ratio: Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II in a 1:10 ratio based on Tier-I scores.
  • Probation Period: 2 years for all selected candidates.
Principal
  • Tier-I: Qualifying exam (100 Marks, 2 hrs) on Reasoning, GA, Academics, Admin & Finance, Language.
  • Tier-II: Main exam (100 Marks, 3 hrs) with 40 Objective + 15 Descriptive questions.
  • Tier-III: Interview (40 Marks). Final merit based on Tier-II & Interview (80:20 weightage).
PGT & TGT
  • Tier-I: Qualifying exam (100 Marks, 2.5 hrs) on GA, Reasoning, ICT, Teaching Aptitude, Domain Knowledge & NEP-2020. Plus a qualifying language test.
  • Tier-II: Main exam (100 Marks, 3 hrs) with 40 Objective + 15 Descriptive questions on the specific subject.
JSA & Lab Attendant
  • Tier-I: Qualifying exam (100 Marks, 2 hrs) on Reasoning, QA, GA, Computer, Language.
  • Tier-II: Main exam (100 Marks, 3 hrs) with 40 Objective + 15 Descriptive questions on subject knowledge.
  • Tier-III (for JSA): Typing Test (50 marks, qualifying nature).

Post-wise Eligibility Criteria

Post Max Age Essential Qualifications
Principal 50 years Master’s & B.Ed. with 50% marks + 12 years PGT experience or 9 years combined as PGT/Vice-Principal.
PGT 40 years Master’s in subject & B.Ed. with 50% marks. For CS: M.Sc(CS/IT)/MCA/M.E/M.Tech.
TGT 35 years Bachelor’s/Integrated Degree in subject & B.Ed. with 50% marks + CTET Paper-II.
Hostel Warden 35 years Bachelor’s Degree or 4-year Integrated Degree.
Female Staff Nurse 35 years B.Sc. Nursing + Registered with State Nursing Council + 2.5 years experience in a 50-bed hospital.
Accountant 30 years Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com).
JSA 30 years Class XII pass + Typing speed of 35 wpm (Eng) or 30 wpm (Hindi).
Lab Attendant 30 years 10th pass with Lab Tech diploma OR 12th pass with science stream.

*Age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years, OBC is 3 years, and up to 55 years for EMRS employees.
