Pay Scale & Classification
The post is classified as Group ‘B’ (Non-Ministerial, Non-Gazetted) with a pay scale of Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400 (Pay Level 6).
Eligibility Highlights

Age Limit (as of 16/10/2025):
Not exceeding 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Essential Qualifications:
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or other equivalent qualifications as per the advertisement).
Must have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
Must have passed Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or English as a subject at the Secondary level.
Examination Scheme (One Tier)
- Section A (100 Marks): General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, and comprehension tests for Hindi & English languages (20 marks each).
- Section B (100 Marks): MCQs based on NCTE curriculum and teaching methodology required for the post.
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Selection Process
- One Tier Exam: Selection is based on marks obtained in the One Tier Computer Based Examination.
- Qualifying Marks: Apply only to Section-B. Final merit will be based on the combined score of Section-A and Section-B.
- Post Preference: Department preferences (DoE/NDMC) will be taken at the time of online calling of e-dossiers.
